Your Character
Name: Dakota
Meaning: Friend: ally. Tribal name...Native American
Nickname: Kodah
Gender: Female
Age: 11 months and 2 weeks
Pack:
Rank:
Mate/Crush:
Appearance: Like her father before her, Dakota is of a pale hue. To be percise, she is all white. And her most oddest feature is her pinkish, more of a white colored nose. One could consider her an albino except that her eyes are a dark amber. Her eyes are what many a young male wolves have been so very attracted to. They are of a soft and gentle gaze, yet so full of life and the will to survive, giving Dakota an almost spirit like look to her. Her soft coat seems to glow a warm golden white that allows for a sense of comfort to wash over those who are nearest to her. Her gentle paws are of moderate size, but full of power and strength.
Personality:
Dakota, for her youth, is a very strong willed "pup." She understands the meaning of survival very well and is not afraid of a challenge. She enjoys very much the wisdom that the older and more wiser can pass down to her. She learned young what it meant to be a wolf, as well as the dangers that come with that birth rite. It has been said of Dakota, that she is the Great Spirit's gift to not only the wolf, but also the Native American people that surrounded her home. She was a symbol of hope and life. And Dakota, strives to live up to that title given to her. Of course she does not always succed. However, that does not mean that she just gives up. Dakota is a fighter at heart. Yet she seems to also carry an air of subtlness and calmness to her. Rarely does she react to anything except it be a threat to her or any other. She is quiet and gentle, and even submissive at times. But in the end her strong will is what shows through and through.
History:
Dakota was born into what at one point had been a large pack. There were at least ten in the pack, which was indeed a rather large number. However, at the time of her birth, land was abundant and pack sizes were rather large. She had been born to the pack leader and his mate in a litter with about six pups. She and a younger brother were the only two to survive that first winter. That in itself was rare and a feat, as female pups were far less likely to survie than the male pups. Of course she and her brother became the pride of her father's eyes. And her mother seemed to beam everytime another pack member would speak of the two pups.
Dakota's pack lived in peace with a nother pack that resided just over the moutain side. As time wore on though that peace slowly started to dissolve. Humans began to settle in the area. They began to build buildings, and railways, and all sorts of human devices. These devices started to eat up the land a little at a time. Packs began to get pushed into other packs territories. Fueds began to break out and food was become scarce. Not only were the wolves feeding of the wildlife that lived around, so were the humans. Eventually the packs began to wander into the villages in search of food. The people who lived in these villages began to worry and get angry that the wolves were coming into the village. The humans decided that it was time for something to be done.
Since Dakota's pack was the largest, the humans feared this pack the most. A pack at it's strength couldn't be defeated if encountered. So the humans decided, that they would round up to wolves and either shoot them or have them crated off to some other land far away. They had not anticipated that the packs would do everything in their power to resist, to protect their land, and their families. In the end it turned out to be a blood bath. The human men, intead of rounding up the wolves, simply started shooting them as they found them. Dakota's father tried to move his pack as well as the surrounding packs. He did everything in his power. However no mater how hoard he tried, his pack was dwindling rapidly.
Soon several packs, including Dakota's ran face to face with the humans. They had become trapped. Dakota and her mother were able to get out around the men with out being injured. Dakota's father, and brother went another way with the rest of the pack. When it was closer to the evening and every thing had seemed to calm down a bit, Dakota and her mother went in search of the pack. Dakota's mother's knew that they could not survive without the pack. They soon were able to pick of the pack's scent, and were able to follow it.
As they drew closer to the pack about a dozen gun shots rang out in the night air. All of a sudden wolves went running in every which direction. Some of the pack went crashing through the trees, otehrs went for the bushes to find cover. Several of the pack began to move in the direction of one of the packs that lived over the mountain. Dakota's mother could not understand why at first. Dakota and her mother followed part of the pack up farther into the mountains, hoping that Dakota's father and brother got out as well.
As the moon rose higher that night, Dakota and her mother, as well as the small portion of the pack that they were with, all raised their mournful songs toward the sky. They called for the rest of their pack, their family. The night air stood still, and silent. All that could be heard was the melodic and sorrowfull song of the wind. Again, they raised their cries to the sky, only this time, they were joined by another pack who had also suffered from the earlier events of the day. Yet no cry of hope was to be heard. The few that were there, were all that was left of the once noble and majestic pack.

One Roleplay Example:
Dakota stepped lightly through the freshly fallen snow. He soft bushy tail was up in a playful and light hearted manner. It had almost been a year since that terrible day. Dakota was no longer a pup. She was in fact almost a year. She had learned so much in the past year, as well as done a lot of growing up. However, now, as she picked up her pace to a steady trott, none of the past seemed to important.
A playfull yip could be heard through the bushes as a smaller wolf jumped out from behind a row of bushes. Dakota sprang several feet into the air and let out her own playful reply. It was the beginning of spring and Dakota and several of the other "almost year olds" were playing a game similar to hide and seek. However, in this game, the object was to continue moving without getting caught by the one who was it. This was game that had been invented by Dakota's mother. After they played it for the first time, the pups fell in love with the game, or rather the challenge of learning to life skills while having fun.
Dakota's mother leaped up onto a rather large rock that overlooked where the pups played. They would soon be ready to go on their first hunt, and take their place as a member of the pack. Dakota and the others gathered around her mother. A small choirous of howls filled the air as each of the pups titled their heads back and began to sing a rather melodious melody...
(Not one of my best, but could definitely write more if I had the muse to.))
You may, however, add more topics, such as Parents, Siblings, pups, ect.
