The Ruins Humans, at one time, thrived on a part of the island. And though they are no more, they have left some of their objects behind. Walls and rock based buildings are truthfully the only things that have survived over the many years. And even those creations have begun to fall apart. However, for as long as they do last, they do provide some shelter from the outside world. A fresh water source lies not too far from the area. It is also believed that the humans used it for their own needs, as a faded path dwindles from the ruins to the river. Sub-boards: River Aevum, Pawpaths, Consecrated Grounds, Ivy Bartizan, Pergola Trail |

Cielo Brilhante Mountain Range Reaching even higher than the chill, rocky mountains of the west are the peaks of Cielo Brilhante. Crowned with snow and equally fluffy cloudbanks, the sight of their summits gleaming in the rising sun is enough to stir the heart of any self-respecting creature. While the altitude isn’t encouraging to many forms of life, the lower slopes are inhabited by scrub brushes and thick, hearty ferns which offer shelter from the biting winds that swerve down off the slopes. Still, few visit the mountains on a regular basis, choosing instead to enjoy their beauty from afar. |

Deflama Prairie The plains consist of austere, rolling hills that were once covered by a massive forest. Ravaged by fire, the raw ground is now blanketed by thick grass. In droughts, the yellowed grass gives the illusion of flames. It is a grim reminder of the fire that burned many moons ago. Deer, rabbit and ground squirrels now call this place home. |

Florelux Basin Beyond the shadow of the mountains, nourished by runoff and sheltered by ever-present rainclouds, a forest of lush and verdant plants cranes toward the sky. This sweltering paradise, full of unusual plant and animal species, is seen as a mysterious gift to the wolves of the area. It offers an ideal place to explore, to hunt, or even to raise a pack… if one can adapt to the steamy climate and unremitting rainstorms. Further within the emerald depths of the forest, a waterfall crashes and roars into a crystalline pool. The sound of water beating down the rocks that ring this swimming hole echoes for miles around. |

Tempestrade Bay A cove juts out into the stormy waters just east of the Florelux Basin. Its curving arm encircles a far-off spit of rock which may actually be an island… none who have swum out to it have returned to speak the truth. Honestly, there is more than enough chance for advance on the Bay itself. Covered in the same overgrown foliage that shadows the floor of the Basin, it is home to many secluded glades, romantic overlooks toward the ocean, and no small amount of strange, wild herbs have collected in secret corners. The Bay’s original name speaks not only for the rough weather that often surrounds it, but for the storm of trouble that many an unwary wolf has stumbled into after sampling its pleasures. |

Rochoso Sands Yet another shoreline serves as the strip of border between land and sea, this time to the south. Rochoso Coast differs from its sister shores in that it seems far less hospitable: sharp shells and chunks of gravel strew the earth, rattling with every inhalation of the sea. Other than its unusual covering, the beach is unremarkable; though sometimes a washed-up wonder can be found among the driftwood. |

Edelweiss Mountain Range The slopes of the Edelweiss Mountains are steep and rocky. Mountain goat are very common. There is not much shelter on the mountain, but caverns are everywhere. At high altitudes, a strange fuzzy flower, the Edelweiss, can be found if you look hard enough. There is a large valley at the base of the mountains where a pack can raise pups. |

Blackrock Coast To the far west lies the sea, forever tossing foam-flecked waves, and the foreboding grays sands of Darkened Spirits’ rugged shoreline. What might once have been a smooth and unremarkable beach is now littered with driftwood, broken shells and other countless scraps of flotsam. Further back, beyond the reach of the seeking water, dark rock formations cast their shadows across the yielding earth. A network of caves, mysterious and undisturbed, awaits discovery to the north—and the southern shore has yet to be fully explored. Although the night paints this lonesome territory in a grim and eerie light, there is no better view of the sunset to be found at these altitudes. |

Shaded Forest Located a few miles away from the base of the mountain, there is a fairly large lake. The lake is crisp, clear and cool. Beaver and otter make their homes around the lake. The coniferous forest surrounding the lake are the perfect place for a wolf pack to call home. Fox, deer, badger and many other animals live here as well. |

Eldritch Marshlands A deceptively vibrant place during the day, where the water sparkles with every glint of sunlight and fish frolic beneath the lily-rimmed surface of the swamp; but after darkness falls the Marsh becomes a terrible place in which to lose one’s sense of direction. Dreary, full of melancholy cries and ghostly, flickering will-o’-wisps, this ancient stretch of land is said to be haunted by the spirits of two young brothers, who got lost here many seasons ago, and drowned together before they could be rescued. Their bones were never uncovered. |

Endless Wastes On the other side of the Western Mountain Range, Mother Nature was not so kind. Showering the opposite side of the peaks with rain, she neglected to water the sands or send down hopeful seedlings; the result is a scorched and featureless desert known as the Endless Wastes. Inhabited by little more than mice and creeping serpents, the sandy swathe of earth is difficult to navigate, sizzles in daylight, and grows frigid under the eye of the moon. Still, there remains an escape for the determined traveler: a fabled oasis to the northwest, where any beleaguered wolf can quench her thirst, or heal his wounds in the shade of indomitable palm trees. It is rumored that something far more precious than water awaits those who happen upon this miracle of the dunes… but so far the secret’s been kept well-hidden from outsiders. |
