His auds swivelled as the canine figure kept alert in the shade of the canopy of the trees that towered above him on either side of his form as he followed the narrow unmarked path. His head was held high with pride and his tail hung low in a relaxed mood even though he was on high alert. He trotted on, his paw steps silenced by the bed of grass that lined the paw path. The dim light that broke through the small gaps between the leaves of the thick canopy danced among the ground as the thin canopy branches swayed in the slight breeze while the tree stay rooted firmly in the ground. As he trotted gracefully down the faintly marked track the light danced among his black and steel grey pelt. All was silent in this tranquil place.
His silver eyes danced across the surroundings, trying to stay on the right path. His nose twitched, hoping to pick up a scent of a wolf pack that he could claim for his own. A dark smirk worked its way onto his lips as he thought of dark thoughts, the taste of the Alpha’s blood in his mouth the red stain on his teeth and muzzle. His evil thoughts ended as he was presented with an obstacle that blocked his path. He halted, looking up and down the fallen tree that had, to his luck; had fallen right across his path. The tree trunk wasn’t large in diameter. From where he stood he began to run, not at full speed but enough to clear him over the fallen rotten tree, the tree was covered in moss, the bark was dark and looked like it was rotten to the core; pieces of the trunk lay next to the main body from which they had fallen off, the pieces were rotten and many pieces littered the ground next to the trunk of this side of the path.
As he neared the trunk he lept up with grace, he had cleared the trunk and by far. Landing on the other side he glanced behind his shoulder to look at the obstacle that he had just cleared and scoffed.
"Too easy” he chuckled, his voice was dark as he spoke. He had dark deeds on his mind and he was going to fulfil them.
Turning his head to the path ahead he travelled on, his light slate grey paws walked on, his black claws digging into the earth with every paw step. His dark grey almost black socks held a dark blue hue as did the rest of his body that held the same colour, the hood on his head, his back, shoulders, his thighs and the same black colour went down to the tip of his tail. His muscles rippled under the large mass of fur on his body but the spring heat didn’t bother him even with his dark coloured pelt. A flock of birds flew over the trees, their calls alerted the wolf, his calling is Renon, he gazed up above him as the birds flew ahead and went in the opposite direction as he. Something or someone had startled the flock as their cries were of alarm. The birds had fled, scattering in the hurry as the danger approached. Renon faltered, stopping in his tracks as his auds swivelled on his head trying to pin-point the threat the birds had sensed while he had not, the birds could have flown far from the threat when they passed over his head but he couldn’t rule out that the threat still could be around here. His nose twitched as he tried to pick up a scent that could cause harm. His head was still craned up, the vicious scar just below his jaw and around his throat was visable as his fur went off in different directions giving attention to the bald scared flesh. The scar was unmistakeable as a bite mark and it was a vicious one but the one that gave him this scar paid with his life. Returning his head to where he always held it he looked around, glancing into the brush and undergrowth trying to locate the so called threat that made him go on high alert even though he didn’t show it in his body language, he was collected and carm, not showing that he was tensed and ready for a fight, cautious or wary.
"Show yourself” he said with a slight growl to his dark voice, his voice was low and deep, showing authority. His eyes shone with no emotion in those depths.
