Adolpha lightly trotted down to the small river. How beautiful it is this morning, she thought.
The abundant leaves were green with a few specks of gleaming white snow. The sun shimmered and shined so brightly on her and the landscape, giving her its joyful aura. As she came closer to the river she examined it. It was sparkling, so blue and clean. Everything seemed perfect that day.
Adol lapped up the refreshing water from the river and sighed. She hadn't ate for a week because winter had been so scarce of meat.
She straightened her back and keened her senses, looking, smelling, hearing for prey. Then she smelled something delightful that made her mouth water. A beaver. Adolpha checked the wind; and the wind blew in a direction that made it impossible to not catch it.
So happy that it was finally spring time, she crouched down and barely let her feet touch the ground as she stalked the creature. When she was close enough, she broke into a run and caught the beaver by surprise, sustraining it and biting its neck to kill it.
Adol devoured her successful catch. It wasn't enough, but she would hunt later. She wanted to enjoy the day.
**OOC** Eh, sorry this is so boring. Didn't have too much to write about, but I wanted to get going. ^-^

Silver ripped through the tough layers of skin on a doe. The creature was of a considerable size, matching the average of it's kind. But it was smaller than a buck. Of course it did not matter. After all, even this deer would feed her plenty, with even some extra to leave behind. Today was a really good catch for her. Normally she had to catch tiny rodents, such as rabbits and mice. So Silver really could not complain. Pulling the meat off of the bone, she ate as much as she could. In the end, she was only able to eat around half of it. Lowering her maw slightly, she sighed. She really should have just killed a rabbit again. She should have known that she would not be able to eat the entire thing. Not thinking first always got her into trouble. And the deer did taste amazing. However, she began to think that it was not even worth it.
But her thoughts were pulled from the short moping when a sound echoed through the air. Raising her head swiftly, she blinked, curious. Before her - on the other side of the river - another female wolf stood. Slowly standing up from her laying position, she watched silently. The other was apparently hunting. And then, suddenly, she attacked her prey. Silver could easily tell that she was younger than herself. Even still, it did not seem by much. Jogging down to the river, from her previous resting spot on a rock, she lowered her maw to lap up some water, as well as to clean stains of blood from her fur. Once again she raised her head to glance over to the other wolf. Smiling kindly, Silver let her tail flap back and forth. "Hello." She spoke enthusiastically. "I'm guessing you are alone too?" That was normally the case in these lands. Whenever she did meet wolves, they often did not have a pack, and they were normally alone. Personally she would have already joined a pack. Being alone was beginning to bother her. But finding or making packs was not an easy task. Or at least it was not anymore...-
"Oh. Forgive me. My name is Silver." She was already rambling in a way. Then again, not having anyone to talk to did that to her sometimes. After not being able to talk to someone, it kind of built up. "Might I ask your name?"
|[ Not really. Lol. ^^. Anyway, finally posted. Cha! Here you go, Adol! ]|

"Hi.." Adolpha said, finished with her beaver. "Yeah, I'm not in a pack. My name is Adolpha, but you can call me Adol if you want."
She smiled. The wolf looked really nice. She wagged her tail and sat up.
"Stopping for a drink..?" she asked, trying to start a conversation.
Adol quickly lapped up a few more drops of water from the river.

Silver was glad to hear that Adolpha was also not in a pack. Then again, she was also a tad sad. For the good part, she finally had someone to talk to. However, that also meant that her journey would continue. That was, unless the two were able to somehow able to create one of their own. Of course they would have to at least find one other wolf before that could happen. Still, not being alone was good enough for now. Smiling at the nickname, she tilted her head. "It is a pleasure to meet you, Adol."
Seeing the other's smile in return, she blinked as another question arose. "Oh...well...I guess so." Laughing softly, she sat comfortably against her haunches. "So what are you planning on doing? That is, are you planning on joining a pack?" Silver hoped that she was not being too straight forward. She was just curious.

"I don't know, actually. I've never been in a pack before, so I don't know if I will like it or not," Adol said. She cocked her head to the side. "How about you? Thinking of joining a pack?"
She examined Silver with a smile. A very pretty white wolf. She seemed like someone Adolpha could get along with.
Adol fiddled with her paws, looking down, embarrased for no reason.

She had never been in a pack? Seriously? That brought a smile to Silver's face. However, knowing how difficult it was to be alone, the emotion was pulled away. Now she simply gave an apologetical look. "I am. Or...I think I am." She moved one paw to play against the air. "I'm sure that you would like being in a pack. It is a lot less lonelier when you are surrounded by others." Watching the other look down, she quickly became curious. Why had Adolpha looked away? Grinning, she slowly shifted her weight from one paw to the other as she tapped at the water. below. "So where did you come from? Unless you are from this area, and then I guess I have my answer...."

"Well, I'm kinda a loner." Adolpha looked up and smiled. "I'm from... well, I don't really remember. I think... really far west. Where the sun shines very much. How about you? You probably know your history better than me."
Copying Silver's movements, Adol let her paw gently touch the water, swirling it around to make a very small whirlpool.
Getting hungry again, she laid down on her stomach and nibbled on some grass.

Silver sadly disliked the word loner. It wasn't that she was judging Adolpha by it. Still, the word described what she was right now, and personally she hated the entire thing. Seeing her smile, she quickly returned the gesture. To each her own, right? She thought to herself. Of course that would never stop her from trying to get her new friend to join her in the search. "Ah...the west. The forests in that area were quite beautiful." Noticing that she was just mumbling stupid words, she smiled and coughed softly. "That is to say that...well...I am from around the area too. But I am sure that you must have lived a good distance away. After all, we have never met before. I lived with both of my parents there in a pack with my brother and sister."
Watching Adolpha nibble on the grass, she paused. Was she hungry? The only other explanation that she could conjure was that she was sick. Either way, she was slightly worried. She had half of that deer from before, if she was hungry. If it was a stomach ache...well...she did not know. "Are you feeling alright? Are you hungry?" Silver questioned, lowering her maw a few inches. "I mean...I have some deer left. Surely it is still alright. I was eating it right before you arrived...- Please forgive me for not offering you it sooner." The last sentence fell in there suddenly, as she remembered how forgetful she had been.

Adol looked up. "Oh, I'm fine! I'm just hungry. I haven't eaten in a a week or so, and yeah."
She cocked her head to the side. "A dear? Sure! I'd love to, as long as it isn't a burden to you. And it's fine, no problem."
She stood on all four paws and quietly sighed. This wolf is really nice, she thought. Adolpha waited paitently for Silver to lead the way to the half eaten deer.

A shocked look could not help but flitter across the female's maw. A week!? That really made her feel bad for not mentioning the deer sooner. Waiting a week for a good meal really was too long. Of course she knew too well that food sometimes became scarce. At certain times it just felt like you could never catch anything. And then there was always the winter. But she still hated seeing wolves without food. Silver could not help but feel responsible, even if it was not her fault. So, smiling brightly, she nodded her head. "Nope. Its no problem at all. I couldn't eat it all anyway, and I would hate for it to go to waste."
Turning away, she glanced back to check if Adolpha was coming. And Silver noticed that she was merely waiting for her to show her the way. Laughing softly under her breath, she looked away again. "Its this way. In fact, it really isn't far. See the rock right there?" She tipped her maw in the direction of a large boulder, from which she had previously been sitting. Coming to a slow trot, she made her way over. The short distance had no need for her to run. Before no time she was standing atop the rock. Thankfully other creatures had yet to take their hold on the meat. Otherwise she would have nothing to give Adolpha. Even so, she probably would have gone to the trouble of catching something else. Wagging her tail, she glanced back to the other wolf, then scraping her paw next to the half eaten deer. "Here it is."

I trotted to the deer happily and sat next to my meal. "Thanks a lot, Silver." I paused, but eventually started to chow down. "So," she said between chews, "whatcha planning to do for today?" She hoped she wasn't being too nosy. It was part of her personality, so she couldn't help it.
What am I [/i]planning to do today?[/i] Adol asked herself. She started to chew slower, thinking. I guess I will just... She sighed quietly. She had no idea what she was going to do today, or tomorrow, or the next day. To her, there was nothing to do.

Tail wagging, she watched as the other female took her spot next to the food. At the apology, Silver shook her head, not wanting Adolpha to feel as if she needed to thank her. "It really is no problem." She could not help but smile. Lowering her maw slightly, she looked back towards the river. "Stupid me thought that I could actually eat it all by myself. However, as you can see, I was not able to." Before she would have felt terrible about killing the deer. Even so, after meeting Adolpha, and finding that her new friend was hungry, it really was not difficult for her to push those thoughts aside. Now Silver felt proud and happy to not have been able to eat the entire meal.
Silver remained silent for a few moments after the questions. Thinking about the answer, she tilted her head softly. What was she going to do today? Before she said anything, she noticed that Adolpha had begun to eat slowly. She wondered if the other was no longer hungry. On the other hand, hearing the faint sigh, she gave a solemn look. "You know, I really do not know what I will do." Quickly regaining a smile, she let her tail flap back and forth. "Surely there is something you wish to do? I'd like to spend some time with you, if you are not too busy." She was unsure of what the other was thinking. Still, she hated seeing someone sad. Besides, she really did want to spend time with her.
